Overview

In this role you will support Capital Group’s investment process within the Global Investment Center’s fixed income trade operations. You will handle post-trade activities, margin and collateral management, and lifecycle events, collaborating with Investment, Legal, Compliance, vendors, and client teams. As a technical SME, you’ll guide associates, manage issues, and drive efficient operations. The position offers leadership opportunities in a growing regional function and exposure to market infrastructure and regulatory developments.

Responsibilities

  • Support margin management, collateral obligations, and product lifecycle activities in the post-trade process
  • Oversee settlement functions and ensure accurate lifecycle events across OTC and cleared derivatives
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert and mentor associates
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders (Investment Group, Legal & Compliance, vendors, custodians, clients) to align on processes
  • Translate regulatory changes into operational improvements and ensure compliance
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and deadlines
  • Analyze data to identify trends and drive automation for efficiency
  • Shape and establish a new regional function in partnership with global teams

Key requirements

  • Extensive collateral management experience across OTC derivatives, cleared derivatives, and securities financing
  • Post-trade processing and lifecycle management for OTC and cleared derivatives (IRS, CDS, FX forwards, FX options, futures, options)
  • Knowledge of derivative market infrastructure (CCPs, brokers, trade repositories, custodians, counterparties)
  • Working knowledge of ISDA, MSFTA, and market workflows
  • Understanding of collateral-related regulatory requirements and ability to implement changes
  • Familiarity with industry utilities (Aladdin, FailStation, AcadiaSoft, TriOptima, CRD, MarkitWire, TradeSuite, Traiana, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MTM)
  • Strong communication skills to articulate risks and actions to diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and analyze complex data
