Overview
In this role you will join a leading Agricultural Property team to build specialist expertise advising farming families, landed estates and rural businesses on complex property matters. You will work closely with an experienced Senior Associate, receiving training to grow in partnerships and trusts within agricultural property. The position blends high-quality transactional work with long-term client relationships, offering clear progression in a collaborative, hybrid-working environment. Responsibilities
- Handle non-contentious agricultural property matters including sales, purchases and transfers of farms and rural land
- Manage transfers between family members, partnerships, companies and trusts
- Contribute to property aspects of farming partnerships and LLP agreements
- Assist with estate restructuring and succession planning
- Deal with grazing licences, occupational arrangements and rights affecting rural land
- Support SDLT, CGT and IHT-related property matters in collaboration with tax advisers
Key requirements
- Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with approximately 1-4 years’ PQE
- experience in Residential Property, Commercial Property and Agricultural Property
- Agricultural experience is welcome but not essential
- ability to learn and develop specialist knowledge in agricultural partnerships and trusts
