Overview

As a Project Manager (Technical) you steer complex aerospace engineering programmes from concept to service, coordinating across global teams. You drive performance against cost, schedule and quality while maintaining strong customer and stakeholder interfaces. You will lead cross-functional teams and champion Safran development processes to deliver innovative onboard energy solutions. This role offers impact across international sites and a clear path to shaping future aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution and delivery of engineering development programmes within cost, schedule and quality targets
  • Govern programme timing, risk management and decision-making with escalation to senior leadership
  • Own schedules, budgets and milestones from contract award to entry into service
  • Interface with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Lead cross-functional Integrated Programme Teams across UK, France and US
  • Manage risks, opportunities, changes and configuration control
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, governance reviews and performance reporting
  • Champion continuous improvement and adoption of Safran’s development processes and digital tools

Key requirements

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience leading complex engineering development programmes in aerospace, defence or regulated manufacturing
  • Track record delivering programmes against cost, schedule and quality across full product lifecycle
  • Experience managing customer relationships and engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed teams including suppliers and partners
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (APM, PMI or equivalent) and stage-gate/PLM development processes
