Overview

As Maintenance Manager at Kerry Coleraine, you will lead a team of eight engineers to maximise equipment availability and drive maintenance excellence across a growing cheese, sauces and syrups site. You’ll steer preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and rapid problem-solving to cut downtime and support production. You will partner with Production and other functions on site projects and expansions, shaping reliable, efficient operations in a safety-first environment. Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 8 engineers with clear direction and coaching
  • Manage daily maintenance activities to balance planned versus urgent work and minimise downtime
  • Deliver and maintain the preventative maintenance and asset care programme
  • Improve equipment reliability by addressing recurring issues and reducing emergency repairs
  • Provide technical support for breakdowns and troubleshooting
  • Ensure health & safety and compliance across engineering activities
  • Collaborate with Production and site teams to prioritise and improve operations
  • Support site projects including equipment installation, upgrades and overhauls, and manage contractors, spares, and budget
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs and keep accurate documentation

Key requirements

  • Relevant electrical or mechanical qualification, diploma or degree
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing
  • Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on leadership with ability to build relationships across functions
  • Fluent English
  • Good Microsoft Office and SAP skills
