Overview
In this role you will join the Mental Health team at HMP Stocken to assess and manage inmates’ mental health needs within a multidisciplinary, autonomous practice. You will work with a diverse team to develop holistic care plans that address physical, social and psychological aspects, delivering evidence-based care and safeguarding. The position supports training and career development within a purpose-driven justice healthcare provider. You will contribute to a patient-centered culture that values integrity and inclusivity, within a secure environment.

Responsibilities
- Assess and continuously manage patients’ mental health needs
- Operate as an autonomous practitioner with a caseload
- Develop holistic care plans addressing physical, social, and psychological needs
- Provide evidence-based, non-judgemental care and maintain professional boundaries
- Contribute to nursing strategy and outcomes through feedback and personalised care
- Participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation following policies and safeguarding procedures
Key requirements
- NMC Registered – Mental Health
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment
- Understanding of neurodiverse conditions (autism, ADHD) and complex communication challenges in the criminal justice system
- Current UK professional registration
- UK right to work and ability to undergo vetting checks
