Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home

Location: Abingdon, OxfordshireTemporary to Permanent Full-Time Role£13.33 per hour PAYE or £17.27 Umbrella

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join a children’s residential home in Abingdon on a temporary-to-permanent basis.If you’re passionate about supporting children and young people and want to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

You will work directly with children and young people, supporting them with:

  • Life skills, appointments and family time
  • Creating a fun, safe and welcoming home environment
  • Daily records and online documentation
  • Communication with families and professionals
  • Safeguarding and medication
  • Meal preparation and general household tasks

About You

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Caring, patient and resilient
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable and flexible with shifts
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes
  • Drivers are particularly encouraged to apply, although this is not essential

Rota

  • 7:00am-2:30pm and 2:00pm-9:30pm
  • Ideally working an early/late weekly pattern
  • Every other weekend required, including split shifts
