Overview

In this role you will manage complex DB and/or DC pension calculations and administration within a hybrid Leeds office. You will mentor junior colleagues, ensure high-quality output and coordinate workloads to meet client SLAs. You’ll apply pension legislation and WTW guidance to deliver accurate, well-documented communications and support process improvements. This position offers exposure to a broad range of pension projects and opportunities to shape service delivery for a leading client portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage complex pension calculations and queries across retirements, transfers, and deaths
  • Review and validate junior colleagues’ work, providing constructive feedback to ensure accuracy
  • Escalate technical issues and non-standard cases as the point of contact for the team
  • Apply pension legislation, regulations, and internal guidance to day-to-day work
  • Support Team Leader to meet SLA targets and coordinate team workload
  • Coach and mentor colleagues to develop team capabilities
  • Identify and progress process improvements to enhance client service
  • Assist in complex or project-based assignments as needed

Key requirements

  • Experience in occupational pension administration (DB and/or DC)
  • Knowledge of pensions legislation and regulations
  • Experience with DB manual calculations for various processes
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow procedural documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of handling high volumes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience coaching or mentoring less experienced colleagues
  • Hybrid/multi-site team experience advantageous
