Overview
In this role you will advance Citi’s Digital Assets Platform by delivering enterprise-grade backend applications that leverage blockchain technology. You will join a core team to build CIDAP, collaborating with cross-functional, distributed teams to meet ambitious quality standards. You’ll tackle design and implementation challenges in web3-enabled web applications, shaping scalable, reliable solutions. The opportunity offers exposure to senior leadership and a chance to influence digital asset initiatives at a global bank.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate on web applications using blockchain technology
- Own end-to-end delivery of features leveraging blockchain
- Address solution engineering challenges to meet stakeholder needs
- Apply best practices and design patterns for enterprise web apps and web3
- Utilize collaborative tools in a distributed team
- Contribute to and maintain technical documentation
- Communicate effectively in a distributed team and escalate issues to deliver on time and budget
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering; advanced degrees a plus
- Extensive experience in full software development and testing lifecycle
- Proven backend web development experience with Java Spring
- Experience or strong interest in web3 application development
- Experience with asynchronous programming and scalable web apps
- Familiarity with DevOps basics and containerization a plus
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology and Scrum a plus
- Solid CS fundamentals and knowledge of design patterns
- Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Team player mindset with cross-functional collaboration
- Proactive, self-driven and resourceful
- Java Spring backend development
- Web3 libraries (Web3J, Web3JS) a plus
- Solidity familiarity a plus
