Leading Drinks Brand

The Opportunity

Fancy joining one of the coolest and most recognisable drinks brands around?

We’re looking for a brilliant Senior Shopper Marketing Manager to join the award-winning marketing team of a leading drinks brand in Leeds.

This is a big, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves getting things done and brings a genuine can-do attitude. You’ll take the lead on shopper marketing across the Off-Trade, turning ambitious brand strategy into compelling customer stories and standout activations across grocery, convenience and wholesale.

You’ll manage two direct reports and work closely with Sales, Category, customers, retail media partners and agencies.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants layers of process and lengthy sign-offs. This is a small, entrepreneurial team behind a huge consumer brand, so you’ll need to be comfortable spinning multiple plates, making things happen and mucking in when needed.

In return? You’ll get the opportunity to make a genuine impact at one of the coolest and best-loved drinks brands around.

What You’ll Be Doing

Shopper & Customer Marketing

  • Own the annual customer brand planning process across major grocery and convenience customers.
  • Develop and deliver through-line shopper marketing strategies and activations across retail, convenience and cash & carry.
  • Translate major brand campaigns into brilliant customer and shopper activity.
  • Lead marketing within key Off-Trade customer meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with grocery customers, buyers and retail media partners.
  • Develop, execute and evaluate customer activations and communications.
  • Use insight and category data to create compelling selling stories.
  • Regularly evaluate and present campaign and activation performance.
  • Manage shopper marketing budgets effectively.

Sales & B2B Marketing

  • Partner closely with the Sales and Category teams.
  • Develop compelling customer-facing sales tools, activation decks and product sell-in materials.
  • Create timely B2B communications that give the Sales team everything they need to win with customers.

Trade PR & Communications

  • Oversee the annual trade advertising programme.
  • Build strong relationships with relevant trade journalists.
  • Identify opportunities to communicate brand, category and company stories within the trade press.
  • Turn category trends and market data into interesting, relevant stories.

Leadership

  • Lead, motivate and develop two direct reports – a Shopper Marketing Manager and Campaign Planner.
  • Manage agencies and external partners.
  • Bring teams together across Marketing, Sales and Category to deliver activity at pace.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll have at least five years’ experience in shopper/customer marketing, ideally gained within FMCG.

Drinks experience would be a major advantage, but we’re equally interested in people from other fast-moving consumer brands who understand grocery and convenience and know how to create shopper activity that gets noticed.

Most importantly, we’re looking for the right attitude.

You’ll be:

  • Fast-paced & entrepreneurial – you enjoy making things happen rather than waiting for them to happen.
  • A genuine can-do person – happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
  • Shopper savvy – with strong grocery and convenience experience.
  • Commercial & insight-led – able to turn category and shopper data into compelling customer stories.
  • Confident with customers – comfortable presenting and selling ideas at Grocer/buyer level.
  • Activation focused – experienced in taking ideas from strategy through to execution and evaluation.
  • Hyper-organised – capable of juggling multiple customers, campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • A strong people manager – with previous line-management experience.
  • Collaborative – someone who genuinely believes in a One Team approach.

Experience working with drinks, premium or youth-focused consumer brands would be particularly attractive.

Why This Opportunity?

You’ll be joining a major UK drinks brand while working within a relatively small, entrepreneurial team.

You get the scale, visibility and excitement of a household-name consumer brand without the layers you might associate with a huge corporate. Good ideas can become reality quickly and your contribution will genuinely matter.

The culture is passionate, proud, entrepreneurial, hard-working and hungry for success. Nobody is afraid to muck in.

Benefits

  • Bonus: 10% discretionary
  • Hybrid: Monday-Wednesday Leeds office / Thursday-Friday home
  • Holiday: 25 days + BH, increasing by one day each year to 30 days after five years
  • Private healthcare
  • Pension
  • Death in service
  • Regular UK customer travel, with occasional overseas travel

Sound like you?

If you’re a shopper marketer who gets energy from pace, autonomy and responsibility, loves bringing big consumer brands to life at the point of purchase and has the can-do attitude to make things happen, this could be a seriously exciting next move.
