Managing Principal Consultant – General Insurance

Overview

In this role you lead strategic change for the UK General Insurance sector, guiding large transformation programmes and AI-enabled initiatives. You work closely with clients and internal teams to align business and technology priorities, shaping insurance consulting offerings and governance around responsible AI. You’ll drive value delivery, support business development, and promote practical adoption of AI-driven ways of working within a collaborative Capco environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex change and transformation programmes in General Insurance, leveraging AI-enabled approaches to boost efficiency and delivery quality
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery across digital transformation, data, regulatory change, and agile ways of working
• Engage senior client stakeholders, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure measurable value delivery with responsible AI governance
• Support business development and client growth, identifying opportunities where AI adds measurable business value
• Build trusted client and vendor relationships across business and technology domains to promote practical AI adoption aligned with client goals

Key requirements

• Consulting experience in General Insurance
• Proven track record delivering large-scale transformation programmes
• Deep understanding of insurance operations, including data governance, digital enablement, TO(M) design, and AI-enabled transformation
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to support responsible AI adoption at senior levels
• Experience generating revenue in a consulting environment and managing senior client relationships, with curiosity about AI tools and automation
