Noise & Vibration Specialist – IC

Overview

In this role, you will strengthen SYSTRA’s Acoustics & Vibration expertise on transport infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. You will lead AV assignments, shape acoustic design for stations and buildings, and manage interfaces with other disciplines to control noise and vibration impacts. You will collaborate with clients and production sites to develop bids, deliver studies and technical assessments, and ensure resource planning and risk management. Responsibilities

• Lead A&V assignments on major UK and international projects coordinating with remote production sites
• Perform airborne and ground-borne noise and vibration impact assessments for rail operations and construction
• Design acoustics for stations, complex buildings, tunnels and associated facilities including noise mitigation and sound insulation
• Manage client relationships and technical interfaces with other disciplines (e.g., MEP) to control design risks
• Contribute to studies and technical reviews, models, and specification drafting
• Plan and allocate resources for project execution and oversee subcontracting arrangements
• Prepare tender responses including cost estimation and methodologies
• Coordinate with the A&V Group Competence Network Lead to develop bids and delivery on major projects
• In the longer term, support recruitment and supervise production teams in the UK

Key requirements

• Demonstrable Noise and Vibration experience in rail, highways or similar projects
• Experience supporting infrastructure projects with Noise and Vibration
• Ability to work autonomously in a demanding, multi-site and multi-stakeholder environment
