Protection & Control Design Engineer – BESS Substations

Mott MacDonald Bentley are seeking a Protection and Control Design Engineer to join the growing BESS team in Leeds. You will lead protection scheme development for HV assets, interfacing with substations and networks while mentoring junior engineers.

You’ll work across AC/DC schematics, protection logic, relay diagrams, and co-ordination studies, ensuring G99/G100 compliance and safe, reliable operation of BESS assets within a fully integrated design-and-build environment.
