Overview
As Senior Product Manager, Fisheries, you will own the end-to-end Fisheries product—from strategy to initial release and go-to-market—building a new offering that combines vessel, ownership, port, and trade-flow data. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to address seafood supply chain transparency and IUU risks. The role focuses on live fleet monitoring and catch/yield reporting to support procurement and compliance teams. This position offers the opportunity to create a new product category in a high-impact, early-stage environment.
Responsibilities
- Own Fisheries product strategy, vision, and roadmap balancing customer value, commercial potential, feasibility, and time to market
- Lead development and delivery of the first Fisheries product release (live fleet monitoring, then catch and yield reporting)
- Conduct market and customer discovery with seafood buyers, retailers, processors, regulators, and NGOs
- Define and refine the product proposition and customer experience across the seafood supply chain
- Establish vessel identity, dark-behavior, and catch-estimation methodologies with data/domain experts
- Own positioning and competitive strategy and define differentiation
- Lead go-to-market activities with Sales and Product Marketing (positioning, packaging, pricing input, launch planning)
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships across the seafood supply chain
- Align Product, Engineering, Data, Sales, and Marketing around strategy, priorities, and outcomes
- Track product performance, feedback, delivery progress, and risks to refine the roadmap
Key requirements
- 5–7 years in Product Management or senior commercial roles, ideally in maritime data, seafood supply chains, or B2B data/SaaS
- End-to-end product ownership experience from strategy to delivery and adoption
- Ability to translate complex customer needs into strategy, roadmap, and requirements
- Understanding of fisheries data landscape: vessel tracking, IUU risk, catch documentation, supply chain traceability
- Experience in ambiguous, early-stage environments with iterative development
- Strong go-to-market experience: positioning, packaging, pricing input, launch planning, collaboration with Sales/Marketing
- Strong data literacy and ability to work with data/engineering; familiarity with AIS, geospatial analysis, ownership, and data flows
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior external audiences
