Overview

As a Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor in a Major Injury & Casualty team, you will manage a varied caseload of multi-track defendant claims, chiefly RTA and PI matters, on behalf of insurers and high-profile clients. You’ll draft pleadings, support litigation strategy, and coordinate experts, while advancing matters within court deadlines. The role offers flexible, remote-friendly work within a respected international firm. You’ll partner with colleagues to deliver commercial, high-quality client service and influence outcomes on complex claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of multi-track defendant personal injury and RTA claims
• Draft pleadings and prepare reports for litigation strategy
• Investigate liability and gather evidence
• Instruct experts and consider medical causation issues
• Attend court hearings and manage deadlines
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to handle claims commercially and efficiently

Key requirements

• At least 2 years PQE
• Experience handling multi-track litigation
• Background in RTA, motor or personal injury litigation
• Defendant experience, ideally with higher-value claims
• Strong technical and analytical skills with a commercial approach
• Ability to manage competing priorities and build client relationships
