About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and forward-thinking Construction Planner to join their dynamic team in East London, operating under a hybrid work model. This role is vital for developing, monitoring, and updating comprehensive project schedules, ensuring that construction projects are executed efficiently and meet critical deadlines. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to create realistic and achievable construction plans, identify potential risks and delays, and propose mitigation strategies. The ability to utilize advanced planning software and communicate effectively across different project stakeholders is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed construction project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying deviations and potential delays.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, including earned value analysis and forecasting updates.
  • Assess the impact of changes on the project schedule and develop revised plans accordingly.
  • Identify critical path activities and ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet project timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working within a hybrid office and site-based environment.
