Programme Manager – Waste Transformation
Rate: £600 per day – Outside IR35
Location: Bradford – minimum 2 days per week on site
Contract: 3-6 months, with potential extension
Start: ASAP / short notice
Increased transformation activity has created an immediate requirement for an experienced Programme Manager to take control of a complex Waste Transformation Programme, spanning operational service change, workforce transformation and service improvement. You’ll provide the programme grip, governance and challenge needed to drive delivery, working across senior stakeholders, operational teams and multiple transformation workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a complex, multi-workstream Waste Transformation Programme
- Establish strong programme governance, controls, reporting and delivery discipline
- Drive operational service change, workforce transformation and service improvement
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues, milestones and programme outcomes
- Provide constructive challenge and maintain momentum across workstreams
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and operational service teams
- Ensure clear accountability and measurable delivery against programme objectives
Requirements
- Strong track record delivering complex transformation programmes within local government
- Significant Programme Manager / Transformation Programme Manager experience
- Proven experience leading operational and workforce change
- Strong programme governance, control and stakeholder management skills
- Confident working with senior leadership and front-line operational teams
- Waste or Environmental Services experience is highly desirable but not essential
- Commercial-sector Waste Transformation experience will also be considered
- Able to work on site in Bradford at least 2 days per week
- Available immediately or at short notice; exceptional candidates with longer notice periods may be considered
This is a high-impact assignment requiring an experienced transformation professional who can quickly establish control, challenge delivery and drive a complex operational programme forward.
