Overview
In this role you will support the energy transition by providing practical, business‑focussed legal advice on renewable energy projects. You will partner with commercial, finance and technical teams to navigate construction, asset acquisitions, and project development, shaping risk and strategy. You’ll work on high‑impact transactions and due diligence while enabling decision‑making across the project lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Advise on renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including UK construction and asset acquisitions
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and project agreements
- Support M&A and project acquisition activity
- Provide legal input on regulatory, commercial, and operational matters
- Manage legal risk and contribute to strategy
- Lead or support due diligence processes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel
Key requirements
- Qualified lawyer with ~1–3 years’ PQE
- Experience in construction, projects, infrastructure, energy, or commercial law (private practice or in-house)
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to risk
- Confident working with senior stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment
