Overview
In this role you lead student engagement and visa compliance efforts within the School of Policy and Global Affairs. You will design and evaluate how the School supports attendance, continuation and progression, working with senior colleagues to implement effective intervention frameworks. You will ensure provision of School-based support for students needing reasonable adjustments. You will apply an evidence-led approach to monitor impact and drive improvements in student outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement and evaluate the School’s approach to student engagement and attendance
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean (Student Experience), Academic Standards & Student Experience Manager, and central Student Success team
- Ensure frameworks are in place to identify and intervene where students are at risk of disengagement or non-progression
- Provide School-based support for students requiring reasonable adjustments
Key requirements
- Good understanding of student engagement, continuation and retention in a higher education context
- Experience in student engagement and retention initiatives, preferably including visa compliance
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment governing HEIs
- Strong IT skills and ability to design effective intervention systems
- Evidence-led approach to evaluating impacts
- Commitment to addressing educational disadvantage
