Senior/ Staff Software Engineer

About the Company

We are a product‑focused tech company working to automate administrative processes in the NHS. Our first product, Automated Registrations, is used by 24 % of GP practices in England.

What We’re Looking For

• Operating at a senior or lead level with 5+ years of experience, particularly in React and TypeScript.
• Experience in a startup or scale‑up environment; have been part of a small, high‑performing squad.
• Founder or entrepreneurial mindset, or direct experience as a technical founder.
• Strong focus on high‑quality, highly maintainable code that scales.
• Accountable for end‑to‑end solutions, building products able to handle NHS “oddities.”
• Knowledge of distributed system risks, ensuring fail‑safe code.
• Comfort with autonomy, responsibility, and building impactful solutions.

Tech Environment

• Full‑stack development with a backend focus, using TypeScript or similar.
• API design: creating and consuming scalable, well‑structured services.
• Data: working with production systems and performance considerations.
• Experience scaling products in high‑stakes domains (health, finance, infrastructure) is a strong advantage.

• Deliver intuitive, high‑quality user experiences relied on daily by clinicians and patients.
• Influence product direction beyond implementation.
• Identify and resolve performance and usability challenges proactively.
• Become a trusted voice across engineering, product, and design.
• Drive faster, better delivery for the team.

Salary & Benefits

• £90 000–125 000 plus equity.
• Paid volunteer days – 2 paid days off per year.
