Overview
In this role you will deliver evidence-based mental health interventions within MHSTs in schools and colleges, taking clinical responsibility and leading whole school approaches. You’ll work across multiple sites, supervise peers, and ensure outcomes are measured to support CYP with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Responsibilities
- Deliver interventions within MHSTs in and around schools/colleges with ongoing clinical supervision
- Act as autonomous registered practitioner accountable for own actions
- Lead for multiple schools/colleges and oversee Whole School/College Approach
- Undertake assessments, risk assessments and care plans for CYP with emotional/behavioural difficulties
- Ensure service delivery via NICE-compliant pathways and crisis care concordat
- Provide leadership, foster initiative and motivation within MHSTs
- Routinely measure clinical outcomes and deliver evidence-based interventions
- Communicate complex clinical information to support outcomes and collaboration
- Support peers and team leader; contribute to team effectiveness
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff
- Participate in comprehensive induction and early development opportunities
Key requirements
- Graduate EMHP/CWP qualification and full registration with appropriate body (BPS, BABCP)
- Extensive clinical experience with Children and Young People with emotional wellbeing/mental health difficulties
