Overview

As a Data Analyst in SN Digital, you will support the Content Acquisition Product Group by turning data into actionable insights across Technology, Business and User Research. You’ll design metrics, build analytics products and dashboards, and partner with cross-functional teams to keep data at the center of decision making. You’ll help shape data-informed strategies across the publishing lifecycle while promoting data literacy and practical storytelling. This role offers the chance to work at scale in a collaborative, inclusive environment that values growth and impact across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the global scientific landscape and publishing content acquisition processes through data
  • Apply quantitative methods and storytelling to keep data at the core of decision making
  • Design and deploy key metrics to measure different aspects of the business
  • Create and maintain analytics products for easier data querying and self-service
  • Create and maintain dashboards to track metrics and visualize insights
  • Partner with cross-functional teams for deep-dive research to uncover trends, opportunities and threats
  • Help drive a data-minded culture by promoting data literacy across the company

Key requirements

  • University degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Previous experience as a Data Analyst or similar quantitative role
  • Strong analysis design, implementation and ownership skills
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience in data visualization (BI tools like Looker or Python-based Plotly)
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., GCP BigQuery)
  • Experience in analytics engineering (ETL, analytics pipelines, data modeling, data testing)
  • Desirable: solid statistical knowledge and data storytelling abilities
