Platform Delivery Lead

Overview

In this role you lead four platform teams (Vault, Payments, Customer, Accounts) and shape Shawbrook’s platform model to enable fast, safe, scalable value delivery across lending, deposits and servicing. You’ll define the platform operating model, treat verticals as customers, and drive end-to-end delivery with a domain roadmap and risk governance. You’ll steward SteerCo communications, budget, and vendor performance while building capability and culture. A core focus is using AI to lift delivery speed and quality within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery outcomes for four platform teams: Vault, Payments, Customer, Accounts
• Shape the platform way of working and operating model for foundational services
• Position the platform as an enabling, preferred layer for verticals
• Oversee end-to-end delivery aligned to business value across all domains
• Manage the domain roadmap, dependencies, risks and interdependencies
• Ensure SteerCo narrative quality with transparent risk, financials and milestones
• Oversee domain-level risk, governance, and escalation
• Govern delivery budget, forecasting and vendor performance
• Develop and retain senior delivery professionals and build team capability
• Champion AI adoption to improve delivery speed and quality

Key requirements

• Extensive delivery leadership experience in financial services
• Platform mindset with focus on reusable capabilities
• Deep understanding of agile, lean and product-centric delivery in a regulated environment
• Proven ownership of delivery budgets and vendor performance at domain scale
• Experience line managing senior delivery professionals and building capability
• Credible with SteerCo and senior Product/Engineering leaders; strong narrative and prioritisation
• Fluent in delivery metrics (including DORA) and applying AI to delivery
• Helpful: exposure to core banking transformation (Thought Machine/Vault) or similar platforms
