In this role you will lead procurement across one of four category teams at a world-class university, driving tendering, contracts and strategic initiatives. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure value for money and alignment with Strategy 2030, delivering cash savings and supporting the university’s international research profile. The role sits within the Finance Directorate, contributing to transformative procurement services and cross-functional impact. Responsibilities
- Lead tendering, award and contract management for procurement projects
- Drive strategic initiatives from market engagement and spend analyses
- Deliver cash savings and cost efficiencies to support financial wellbeing
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
- Contribute to service transformation within procurement
- Align procurement activities with University objectives and government policy
- Exercise initiative and ownership of strategic procurements
Key requirements
- End-to-end tendering procedures experience
- Experience with eTendering systems
- In-life contract and supplier relationship management
- Strong computing literacy and numerical analysis skills
