Overview
In this role you will own the financial health of the MTL entity, acting as the financial anchor for a high-impact standalone operation. You will partner with operational leadership and Group FP&A to drive profitability, manage risk, and align financial strategy with AUEM’s growth ambitions. You’ll lead end-to-end accounting cycles, ensure IFRS/local GAAP compliance, and optimize cash flow and working capital at scale. The position offers strategic influence, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to shape a $130M business within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities
- Own month/quarter/year-end closes and deliver accurate management accounts and dashboards
- Ensure statutory compliance and group accounting policy alignment (IFRS/local GAAP)
- Oversee cash flow, treasury, and working capital optimization for a high-volume operation
- Partner with MD and Group FP&A to drive strategic decisions and top-line growth
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts; develop financial models for opportunities and capex
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and improve margins
- Manage onshore leadership of offshore/outsourced finance functions (AP, AR, GL)
- SLA adherence and process improvement for offshore team; drive automation
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, Legal, and Sales to align financial KPIs
- Design and maintain internal controls; support audits; manage tax compliance in coordination with central team
Key requirements
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and strong Excel/financial modelling
- Commercial mindset and ability to partner with operational leadership autonomously
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across levels
- Bachelor in Finance; CPA/ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent strictly required
- Minimum 8 years of progressive financial management; 3–5 years in a leadership role managing $50M–$150M+ P&L
- Experience managing offshore/shared services for transactional processes
