Site Engineer

Overview

As Site/Senior Engineer for a Tier 1 main contractor, you will oversee engineering activities on large-scale schemes across the region. You will ensure site compliance with policies, lead RAMS processes, and supervise direct labour and subcontractors. You’ll verify quality against drawings and specifications while maintaining programme visibility for the supply chain. This role blends technical setting-out, safety leadership, and construction coordination to deliver high-value projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site activities comply with policies and procedures
• Induct and approve RAMS for site personnel and subcontractors
• Supervise and coordinate direct labour and subcontractors
• Manage and coordinate subcontract packages
• Provide technical support to production teams and ensure conformance with drawings and specs
• Prepare RAMS for directly employed labour and approve RAMS for other work elements
• Record and monitor NCRs and maintain NCR register
• Ensure accurate setting out and dimensional control within tolerances
• Keep drawings, specifications, and contract documents up to date
• Ensure project programme is available and communicated to supply chain

Key requirements

• Degree or HND or equivalent
• Strong experience in a similar site engineering role
• Demonstrable setting out experience on large-scale schemes
• Valid driving licence
• SMSTS
• 1st Aid
• CSCS Card
