Overview

As a Project Controls Manager, you will lead the controls across major infrastructure programmes in London and the South East, ensuring accurate plans, cost, safety, and performance reporting. You’ll establish and maintain GRIP-compliant control processes aligned with the Programme Controller, coordinating with planning and delivery teams. You will drive resource planning, data quality in cost systems, and day-to-day support for Programme Managers. This role offers hands-on impact on high-profile infrastructure projects and the chance to shape project controls culture across a large professional services firm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead programme controls across infrastructure projects and ensure accuracy of plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting
  • Establish GRIP-compliant control processes at Territory/Project level and allocate controls resources
  • Review new project proposals/remits to develop realistic delivery plans
  • Identify and liaise on resourcing requirements with planning functions
  • Provide efficient reporting service to Programme and Project Managers on plans, costs, safety, environment and performance
  • Monitor data input to cost and performance systems for data standards
  • Produce Investment Plan and comply with the Investment Competence Framework

Key requirements

  • Experience in planning and scheduling (schedule development, control, analysis) in field and home office
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems and basic software
  • Experience with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and start-up processes
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management
