Overview

In this role you will implement and evolve an integrated risk management framework for a major capital programme. You will work within the London Infrastructure team on high-profile projects, identifying threats, opportunities and issues and tracking risk exposure against budgets. You will produce clear risk responses and reports, and apply quantitative methods to inform contingency and investment decisions. You will collaborate with contractors and cross-functional teams to drive proactive risk handling and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Implement an integrated risk management framework for a major capital programme
  • Identify, assess and prioritise threats, opportunities and issues within the sub-programme
  • Monitor risk trigger points and risk budget usage; support timely risk budgeting and retirement of risks
  • Record measurable management responses and assess post-mitigation positions
  • Produce risk reports to communicate threat and opportunity status
  • Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform contingency levels
  • Facilitate risk workshops and support threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation
  • Engage with contractors to understand their risks and views on client-held risks
  • Utilise tools for risk analysis (PRA, @risk, Safran) and knowledge of ARM, Predict, Tableau for risk data visualization

Key requirements

  • Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment within a large programme context
  • Working understanding of integrated risk management processes across risk, cost and schedule
  • Risk workshop facilitation and threat mitigation
  • Probabilistic modelling experience (e.g., @risk, PRA; P6 proficiency)
  • Proven risk delivery experience on major infrastructure projects/programmes
  • APM/IRM risk certification preferred
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
  • Degree qualification in a construction-related subject preferred
