Overview
In this role you will install, commission, and service specialist electro‑mechanical equipment across the UK and internationally. You will engage directly with customers on-site, diagnose faults, and support trials and training, contributing to project outcomes with engineering teams. You’ll produce technical reports and service documents, helping to deliver reliable customer solutions in a fast-paced environment. This position offers travel-focused, hands-on work within a leading defence engineering context, with an emphasis on customer impact and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and service specialist equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical faults
- Produce technical reports and service documentation
- Deliver on-site customer support
- Support equipment trials, testing, and training activities
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver customer solutions
Key requirements
- HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in a Field Service, Maintenance, or Technical Support role
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence and valid passport
- Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and overseas
