Overview

In this VP role, you will lead the technology strategy and modernization for Asset Management Solutions, guiding a sizable engineering organization. You’ll shape the platform architecture, drive AI-enabled practices, and ensure delivery aligns with market and client needs. You will partner across product, operations, and business leaders to prioritize investments and deliver scalable, reliable software. This is an opportunity to influence strategic technology change while remaining hands-on in architecture and delivery. You’ll work to transform legacy systems into an integrated platform that supports growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 60–70 engineers and technical leaders
  • Define and execute the engineering strategy and technology roadmap for Asset Management Solutions
  • Modernize legacy applications and migrate to an integrated platform architecture
  • Engage in technical decisions around architecture, platform strategy, integration, scalability, reliability, security, and performance
  • Partner with product, business, operations, and technology leaders to align investments with client needs
  • Embed AI across the software development lifecycle and operations
  • Establish modern engineering practices (Agile, quality, testing, release, observability, production support)
  • Shape platform capabilities using buy-side knowledge and market trends
  • Drive organizational and technology change with clear vision and stakeholder alignment
  • Establish performance metrics, governance, and accountability for outcomes
  • Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement

Key requirements

  • Deep experience in Buy Side OMS and Asset Management
  • Significant leadership in software engineering, platform engineering, or technology transformation
  • Track record of leading large engineering organizations (managers, architects, dev teams)
  • Deep technical knowledge of software architecture, APIs, Kafka, Java, C#, cloud platforms, systems integration
  • Proven experience modernizing legacy apps and migrating to integrated, scalable platforms
  • Experience driving technology transformation and adoption of new engineering practices
  • Strong understanding of AI adoption in development and business-facing solutions
  • Knowledge of asset management and buy-side technology landscape
  • Hands-on technology leadership while setting strategy for a large org
