Overview

In this Principal AI Architect role you design and lead GenAI and conversational AI initiatives that integrate with Anaplan’s planning platform. You will shape architecture for autonomous agents and multi-agent workflows, driving scalable, secure AI capabilities for enterprise planning. You’ll partner with product, engineering and data science to deliver production-ready AI features and robust observability. This is a chance to influence enterprise planning at scale and to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design GenAI/conversational AI architectures integrated with the planning platform
  • Develop patterns and specs for agentic systems and A2A communication
  • Create prompt engineering frameworks to optimize LLMs for forecasting and financial modeling
  • Collaborate to define API contracts, data models, and integration patterns for AI features
  • Evaluate AI/ML technologies for security, scalability, and reliability
  • Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineering teams
  • Translate forecasting models into production-ready architectures with data science teams
  • Design observability, guardrails, and continuous optimization for GenAI systems

Key requirements

  • Experienced software architect with a focus on designing, scaling, and productionising AI/ML systems
  • Deep expertise in LLM architecture, prompt engineering, and GenAI design; knowledge of multi-agent systems
  • Proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML tooling (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Experience with enterprise frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, Haystack)
  • Proven ability to design RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures for production AI
  • Excellent communication with ability to explain complex architectures to diverse stakeholders
