Legal Counsel, Amazon Leo

Overview

In this role you will collaborate with Amazon Leo’s ground infrastructure teams to structure, draft, and negotiate gateway site and ground operations agreements. You will counsel the business on legal issues related to real estate, construction, and telecom for EMEA, balancing risk with speed to enable quick execution. You’ll develop practical legal strategies that support scalable, business-friendly decisions and build processes to manage risk. This role offers the chance to shape legal support for a cutting-edge satellite broadband program in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate agreements to contract gateway sites and to construct/operate ground gateways
• Counsel the business on legal issues related to ground infrastructure (real estate, construction, telecom)
• Develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways
• Build processes that address risk while enabling rapid, flexible execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)
• Support multiple ongoing projects and manage complex commercial transactions
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Key requirements

• License to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction
• Experience with commercial agreements and commercial transactions
• 5+ years post-qualified experience as a lawyer
