As an Associate or Associate Director in Town Planning, you will lead a diverse portfolio of residential, mixed-use and strategic development projects, shaping outcomes across England and Wales. You’ll manage key client relationships, mentor junior planners, and drive business growth within a collaborative team. This senior role offers influence over project direction, client strategy and team development within a respected consultancy. You’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver planning solutions that align with policy and client aims. Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee planning projects from inception to determination
  • Manage client relationships and provide strategic planning advice
  • Prepare and review complex planning applications, appeals and strategies
  • Mentor and support junior planning team members
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to BD activities
  • Represent clients in meetings with local authorities, stakeholders and consultants

Key requirements

  • MRTPI qualified with substantial post-qualification planning experience
  • Proven delivery of residential, mixed-use and strategic development projects
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy
  • Experience managing clients, projects and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commercially aware with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
