Commercial Senior Finance Manager

Overview

In this high-visibility role, you partner with Ocado’s executive team to steer financial planning across Group Operations. You will shape budgets, outlooks, and cash flow, while challenging cost initiatives and providing strategic support. You’ll work closely with senior leaders to translate business strategy into financial plans and drive consistency across the Group Ops finance team. This is a chance to influence critical decisions at the top level and support a fast-moving, technology-driven business.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted finance business partner to Group Operations functions
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders including Deputy-CEO, Chief People Officer, General Counsel and Head of Reward
• Translate business strategy into budgets and outlooks through robust financial planning
• Provide strategic financial support, identify risks with mitigations, evaluate cost initiatives
• Monitor monthly spend against budget to support positive cash flow and flag risks/opportunities
• Identify opportunities to streamline Group Ops finance processes and improve data quality
• Support and guide the Finance Business Partner covering GTS to ensure consistency across Group Ops finance

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Strong financial and management reporting skills, budgeting and forecasting experience
• Proficiency with financial systems and BI tools (EPM, Looker or equivalent) and advanced Excel
• High resilience, attention to detail, and self-driven with capability to operate in lean, evolving environments
• Desirable: experience mentoring junior finance colleagues
