Overview

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in a BIM-focused building services consultancy, you drive electrical design across projects from concept to completion. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver coordinated electrical layouts using Revit MEP and AutoCAD, contributing to high-quality documentation and BIM coordination. This hybrid role combines design, client engagement, and mentorship within a collaborative, innovative environment. You will help shape efficient, integrated building services solutions for diverse projects.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services including lighting and power systems
• Develop layouts and specifications using Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams for integrated designs
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and clash detection
• Produce technical calculations and design documentation
• Engage with clients during design reviews and site visits
• Support project delivery from concept to completion
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate

Key requirements

• Proven experience in Electrical Building Services design
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with BIM methodologies and multidisciplinary coordination
• Expertise in lighting and power design
• Strong communication and collaborative working skills
• Experience with BIM coordination, clash detection, and 3D modelling would be advantageous
