Continuous Improvement Lead

Overview

You drive continuous improvement in the Manufacturing environment using the CORE methodology to deliver measurable value. Based at Livingston, you lead and coach cross-functional teams, embedding robust processes and standards. You coach on structured problem solving, value stream mapping, and governance to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost performance. This role offers broad impact across manufacturing and engineering, with a clear mission to elevate operational excellence and customer value.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Value Stream Mapping workshops from planning to future state design and implementation planning
• Lead CORE engagements to solve operational challenges and deliver sustainable improvements
• Coach on the shop floor, verify standards via Process Confirmation, help remove barriers to performance
• Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, process maps, PFMEAs, Control Plans and related docs
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Programmes to identify and implement improvements
• Support development of manufacturing capability through training and practical application of CORE tools (5S, standard work, process capability)

Key requirements

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, operational excellence or continuous improvement in a complex production setting
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with data-driven collaboration across functions
• Excellent communication, facilitation and coaching abilities across levels from shop floor to leadership
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple improvement activities
• Commitment to professional development, including CORE Expert accreditation programme (international training and practical engagements)
