Requirements

  • Previous experience in an IT Support, IT Technician, Helpdesk or ICT Support role
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, software, hardware and mobile devices
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proactive and commercially aware approach to technology and process improvement
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a growing organisation
  • Experience working with external IT providers is advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT support queries from office- and field-based employees
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and system issues, taking ownership through to resolution
  • Liaise with external IT and telephony providers to resolve technical issues and support business operationsManage laptops, tablets, mobile devices and associated IT equipment
  • Set up equipment and user access for new starters, and coordinate the return and reset of equipment for leavers
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets
  • Support IT security initiatives and assist with Cyber Essentials and GDPR compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with external partners to help ensure systems, networks and applications operate effectively
  • Research and recommend technologies and process improvements to enhance business efficiency
  • Manage the ordering, recycling and maintenance of IT equipment
