Housing Maintenance Officer

Housing Maintenance Officer Location: Horsham, West Sussex Pay Rate: £21.85 per hour LTD/Umbrella Contract: Temporary, 6–8 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate responsive repairs and general property maintenance.
• Liaise with contractors and monitor repairs through to completion.
• Arrange property inspections and oversee maintenance works.
• Ensure void properties meet the required standards before being re-let.
• Monitor contractor performance, costs and invoices.
• Manage damp and mould cases in accordance with relevant legislation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Communicate with tenants, contractors and internal departments.

Requirements

• Previous experience in housing maintenance, repairs coordination or property management.
• Experience managing contractors and organising residential repairs.
• Good understanding of social housing maintenance and property compliance.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Additional Information

• Predominantly office-based with occasional property visits.
• Mileage reimbursed for authorised business journeys.
