Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client based in West Bromwich.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with previous experience within transport, logistics or fleet operations. The successful candidate will ideally have a good understanding of vehicles, transport compliance and transport planning, as well as being confident using CRM systems.
Polish-speaking skills would be highly desirable for this position.
The Role
As a Transport Planner, you will support the day-to-day planning and coordination of transport operations, ensuring vehicles and drivers are scheduled efficiently, and all relevant compliance requirements are maintained.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules and routes.
- Allocating vehicles and drivers to ensure the efficient running of operations.
- Monitoring vehicle movements and resolving any issues or delays.
- Maintaining accurate records using in-house CRM and transport systems.
- Ensuring transport operations remain compliant with relevant company and legal requirements.
- Liaising with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Dealing with transport-related queries and operational issues.
- Completing general administration associated with transport planning and fleet operations.
The Ideal Candidate
- The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience within transport planning, logistics or fleet operations.
- Good knowledge of vehicles and transport operations.
- An understanding of transport compliance.
- Experience using CRM or transport management systems.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The flexibility to work 6:00am starts.
- Polish-speaking skills would be highly desirable, although not essential.
The Details
Location: West Bromwich
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Start Time: 6:00am
Potential: Opportunity for hours to increase
Pay Rate: GBP13.50 – GBP14.50 per hour
