Project Controls Manager – Infrastructure

Overview

In this role you will lead project controls across major infrastructure programmes in London and the South East, ensuring accurate, consistent plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting. You will establish and maintain GRIP-aligned control processes at programme and project levels, and optimise resource allocation across the controls team. You’ll collaborate with planning to resolve resourcing issues and provide timely reporting to Project Managers. Responsibilities

• Lead the programme controls function for infrastructure projects
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment, and performance reporting
• Establish GRIP-compliant control processes at territory/project level
• Review proposals/remits to develop realistic delivery plans and resource requirements
• Coordinate with planning functions to resolve resourcing issues
• Provide efficient day-to-day reporting services to Programme and Project Managers
• Monitor data quality and standards for cost and performance systems
• Produce Investment Plan and ensure compliance with Investment Competence Framework

Key requirements

• Experience in planning, scheduling (schedule development, control, analysis) in field and home office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with PC operating systems and multiple software applications
• Experience with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office; understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up processes
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of the role (where applicable)
