Job Description:
We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant (Distribution) to join our team. Our Pharmacy Assistant (Distribution) will provide stock medicines and other pharmacy-supplied items to wards and departments. You will receive goods delivered to the pharmacy department, including bulk IV fluids and to replenish stocks of medicines and other items held indistribution and in theautomateddispensingsystem.Main duties of the job
- To work as part of the DistributionTeamto: –
- Process stock requests from wards in EPIC(computer system)and generate a picking list
- pick itemsrequiredand assemble medicine orders ensuring that the items picked match those items requested
- pack and address completed medicine orders for transportation / distribution to the correct destination
- To provide, as required, a bulk IV fluids ‘top-up’ service todesignatedwards and departments. Check stock levels against an agreed list and ensure efficient delivery of the required stock.
