Overview
As a Senior Hydrogeologist at Stantec, you will lead hydrogeology projects within a multidisciplinary team and interact with clients to deliver high-quality solutions. You’ll develop conceptual and numerical groundwater models, oversee field investigations, and guide project planning and reports. Responsibilities
- Lead hydrogeology projects or components within a multidisciplinary team
- Interact with clients and oversee a team of hydrologists, hydrogeologists, and geochemists
- Prepare proposals, work plans, and budgets; manage tasks
- Develop preliminary hydrogeological models to support field design
- Design and supervise hydrogeology field investigations, including intrusive work
- Collaborate on baseline and impact assessments, groundwater/surface water studies, and transport models
- Prepare technical reports and client presentations; perform QA/QC of deliverables
- Travel to field sites as required
Key requirements
- 20+ years of relevant consulting or regulatory experience
- P.Geo. or P.Eng. registration or eligibility
- Valid driver’s license for business travel
- Strong quantitative hydrogeology skills and ability to interface with groundwater modeling and geochemical specialists
- Excellent written and verbal communication; advanced technical report writing
- Ability to mentor junior staff and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with numerical groundwater flow and transport modeling (asset)
- Knowledge of mine and environmental regulations (asset)
- Groundwater chemistry knowledge for mine-related projects (asset)
