Overview
As Commercial Manager in our Global Strategic Sales team, you drive net-new enterprise revenue with major energy clients and convert product capabilities into long-term partnerships. You will embed Dow Jones data into trading and supply-chain workflows and lead complex, multi-stakeholder deals through to contract execution. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape offerings and secure adoption across business units, delivering data-driven value at scale. This role offers meaningful impact in a fast-moving, global energy context.
Responsibilities
- Close net-new enterprise revenue for assigned supermajor and midstream accounts
- Map whitespace and lead cross-sell/upsell motions across trading, optimization, risk, and procurement
- Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to C-suite engagement, negotiations, MSA/legal review, and contract execution
- Embed Dow Jones data/analytics into client workflows and secure widespread adoption
- Capture customer feedback to influence product/editorial priorities
- Maintain CRM hygiene and deliver reliable, data-driven forecasts to senior leadership
Key requirements
- Enterprise sales, strategic account management, or business development with a track record of exceeding multi-million-dollar quotas
- Experience in energy market data vendors, price reporting agencies, commodity software providers, or related energy firm divisions (preferred)
- Ability to negotiate large, complex contracts and present to C-suite and senior leaders
- Technical fluency with market data, benchmarks, APIs, and analytics integrated into trading/risk workflows
- Advanced proficiency with Salesforce and modern sales engagement/analytics platforms
