Overview
As a Senior Project Manager you will lead delivery of complex infrastructure projects and programmes for diverse clients. You will mentor teams, align with client objectives, and manage contracts, finance, and governance across the project lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Lead delivery across infrastructure projects and programmes through the full lifecycle
- Develop and mentor project teams, including in ambiguous environments
- Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders
- Oversee contract management, financials, and project controls to meet objectives
- Plan, coordinate multiple work streams and communicate with senior client representatives
- Ensure health, safety, quality and environmental management on projects
- Lead, manage and develop large project teams
- Adapt and innovate to solve complex delivery challenges
Key requirements
- Significant experience in infrastructure project or programme management across the project lifecycle
- Strong leadership, teamwork and ability to guide others in challenging environments
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with diverse clients and partners
- Strong problem solving, analytical and numerical abilities to translate complexity into delivery
- Proven planning, communication, and organisational capabilities to manage multiple streams
- Ability to drive solutions under pressure and motivate teams
- Experience in managing NEC contracts (beneficial)
- Experience with procurement and managing contractors/consultants (beneficial)
- Experience in consultancy or client-side project management (beneficial)
- Familiarity with public sector organisations relevant to infrastructure (beneficial)
- Qualifications and professional affiliations (APM/ICE/ITP or similar) and project management certifications (APM/PRINCE2/MSP) (beneficial)
