The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is recruiting experienced GCSE English & Maths Tutors to support secondary-aged learners throughout Wrexham.

You’ll deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 tuition designed to improve confidence, close learning gaps and prepare students for GCSE success. This is a flexible opportunity for tutors who enjoy making a real difference outside the traditional classroom.

Position Details

• Location: Wrexham
• Position: GCSE English & Maths Tutor
• Hours: 5-15 hours per week
• Start Date: September 2026
• Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths
• QTS, PGCE or equivalent qualification (preferred)
• Strong curriculum knowledge
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

To be eligible, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply
• Provide two professional child-related references
