Overview
In this role you will lead on-site commercial activities for a high-profile airport infrastructure project, guiding cost control, contracts, and commercial governance. You will work closely with the project team to manage packages, procurement, and variations, while reporting to the Commercial Manager. The position offers exposure to a tier 1 civils contractor and long-term career progression. You will shape commercial decisions that impact delivery on one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs.

Responsibilities
- Lead commercial management of key work packages
- Prepare and manage cost reports and forecasts
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
- Assess and manage variations and change control
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and procedures
- Provide commercial advisory support to project and site teams
- Liaise with client and stakeholders on commercial matters
- Mentor and support junior QS staff where appropriate
Key requirements
- Proven background on large-scale civils projects, ideally car parks or other structural works
- Experience in on-site commercial leadership and cost control
- Ability to manage subcontractor packages, valuations, and payments
