In this role you will join Turner & Townsend’s Defence-focused cost centre, delivering robust cost management across complex programmes. You will work with cross-functional teams to monitor budgets, produce accurate cost forecasts, and support value engineering. Responsibilities
- Establish professional relationships with clients and project teams
- Administer contracts in line with project objectives
- Monitor, forecast, and report project costs to completion
- Manage cost variance, cash flow, and timely applications
- Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver KPIs and value engineering
- Control contract changes within governance and best practices
- Provide commercial support to stakeholders
- Assist in final accounts negotiations
- Contribute to promoting estimating best practices within the firm
- Stay updated on technical developments to provide best-practice advice
Key requirements
- Qualification in Estimating, Quantity Surveying or Cost Engineering
- Experience in the Infrastructure sector (Rail, air, power, highways)
- Proven ability to compile and deliver complex estimates and cost models
- Experience in an integrated Project Controls team
- Experience with single-sourced, non-competed public procurement
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication in client-facing environments
