Senior Legal Operations Manager

Overview

In this role you will own and optimize the legal operations engine as 9fin scales. You will manage the contract lifecycle platform, knowledge management, external spend governance, and KPI reporting, partnering with Finance, RevOps, and Sales. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives (M&A diligence, trademark work, regulatory readiness) and act as a hands-on partner to the General Counsel. This is a high-impact, first-hire opportunity to shape how a fast-growing in-house team operates. You will work from London with a hybrid, three-days-a-week office pattern and help drive efficient, data-driven legal processes across the business.

Responsibilities

• Tune legal intake and front-door for legal requests
• Streamline deal-desk and approval processes with Sales, Finance, InfoSec, and Procurement
• Support knowledge management and policy administration; consolidate templates and information
• Build and maintain external legal spend tracker; categorize spend and produce monthly views for GC
• Own KPI reporting improvements for Ironclad dashboards; expand coverage of operational metrics
• Provide operational and reporting support to the Legal function across stakeholders (Finance, RevOps, People)
• Own Ironclad workflow hygiene, metadata, archiving, approvals, and training rollout
• Maintain and update the sales contract playbook; incorporate RevOps feedback
• Track open projects, ensure follow-through, and prevent dropped tasks in a small, fast-moving team
• Prepare for exec-level reporting with GC and prep for later-stage governance
• Assist with management of large legal projects on GC instruction (e.g., M&A diligence)
• Support company secretarial administration
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and ensure scalable processes

Key requirements

• Five+ years of legal operations, contracts operations, or closely related experience
• Hands-on experience with Ironclad or equivalent CLM (e.g., Juro, LinkSquares, Icertis, Agiloft, Leah)
• End-to-end project delivery experience with timelines, risks, stakeholders, and outcomes
• Strong reporting and data fluency; ability to build dashboards and KPI frameworks
• Experience with external counsel spend tracking, panel management, or legal project management (preferred)
• Builder mentality as a first or early ops hire in a scale-up
• Commercial, action-biased, capable of operating with ambiguity
• Excellent organizational skills and systems mindset
• Experience collaborating with multiple functions (Sales, Finance, RevOps, People)
• Location: London-based; comfortable with hybrid 3 days in-office
