Overview

In this role you will provide on-site and remote technical support for GE HealthCare imaging systems across Scotland, helping maintain uptime and reliability. You will work with cross-functional teams to fulfill service commitments, troubleshoot complex equipment, and identify opportunities for regional growth. The position combines hands-on repairs with customer-focused communication to ensure a high-quality service experience. This is a chance to impact patient care by keeping critical medical imaging equipment running smoothly in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of medical imaging equipment to maximize uptime across Scotland
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders to meet and exceed service expectations
  • Collaborate with local Sales and Clinical Applications teams to support customer needs and deliver solutions
  • Identify and support opportunities for regional business growth leveraging technical insights and customer relationships
  • Provide remote technical support when required to ensure fast resolution and optimal customer experience
  • Maintain high safety and quality standards while working autonomously in the field

Key requirements

  • Qualified Technician or Engineer, or equivalent professional experience in medical devices
  • Field Service experience in a healthcare environment is a strong advantage
  • Strong technical and analytical skills for diagnosing complex equipment issues
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal and listening skills
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Valid UK driving license for travel across Scotland
