Overview
In this role you support senior leaders in MUFG’s Transaction Banking division in London, combining executive assistance with junior business management. You’ll help drive operational excellence, support digital transformation, and contribute to cross-functional projects such as Kaizen, CSR, and learning initiatives. You operate across regional and global teams, shaping divisional strategy with data-driven insights. Responsibilities
- Provide high-level executive support to the Head of Transaction Banking EMEA, including diary management, meeting orchestration, travel logistics, and expense processing
- Manage daily administrative operations, coordinate meeting spaces, prepare documentation, and liaise with stakeholders across divisions
- Monitor and control departmental cost centres (travel, entertainment, training) and implement controls for compliance and efficiency
- Foster relationships with regional and global stakeholders to enable cross-functional collaboration on projects
- Assist in establishing and monitoring KPIs/KRIs and communicate progress on regional priorities and strategies
- Generate actionable insights from data using Power BI and Tableau to inform decisions on revenue, client segmentation, and operating models
- Support business continuity and cyber security adherence within the division
- Contribute to Kaizen, digital transformation (including AI adoption), CSR activities, learning programmes, and brand content strategies
- Collaborate on defining department learning curricula and participate in bank-wide L&D programmes
- Enhance internal brand and support global connectivity within the transaction banking network
Key requirements
- Proven executive assistant experience in financial services or similar environment
- Understanding of commercial banking operations with exposure to cash management or trade finance beneficial
- Strong numerical and communication skills for clear articulation at all levels
- Advanced MS Office and fluency with Power BI or Tableau; familiarity with AI tools desirable
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet stringent deadlines
- Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders across departments
- A Level equivalent education; BA preferred; English fluency and strong numeracy
