Overview
Lead the creation, registration and opening of a brand-new children’s home within Route 29. You will shape a therapeutic, trauma‑informed culture and recruit and develop a high-performing team. You’ll ensure safeguarding, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement while coordinating with multi‑disciplinary partners. This is a unique chance to build services from the ground up and make a lasting impact on children and families in Salford.
Responsibilities
- Lead development, registration and opening of the new service
- Embed a strong therapeutic, trauma-informed culture and practice framework
- Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing staff team
- Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance
- Drive quality assurance, performance monitoring and reflective practice
- Build relationships with children, families, social workers and partner agencies
- Oversee admissions, risk management, care planning and transitions
- Manage budgets and resources to achieve outstanding outcomes
- Champion innovation and contribute to ongoing service development of Route 29
Key requirements
- At least two years’ experience in a role relevant to residential childcare (within the last five years)
- At least one year’s experience supervising and managing staff in a care setting
- Significant safeguarding and risk management experience in residential services
- Experience leading teams through change or service development/improvement
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
